Our Commitment to Your Privacy

At Media Transcriber, we understand the importance of privacy, especially when handling your media files. Our service is designed with your privacy as a top priority.

File Handling and Data Storage

We want to be crystal clear about how we handle the files you upload:

• No Permanent Storage: We do not store your uploaded audio or video files on our servers after processing is complete.
• Temporary Processing: Files are temporarily held solely for the duration required to perform the transcription and summarization tasks.
• Immediate Deletion: Once the automated transcription and summarization process finishes (or if it encounters an unrecoverable error), the original uploaded file and any temporary intermediate files (like extracted audio) are immediately and permanently deleted from our system.
• Automated Process: The entire transcription and summarization process is automated. There is no manual review or access to your file content by human operators.

Transcription and Summary Data

How long we keep the transcripts and summaries we generate depends on how you use the service:

• Signed-in website uploads and file links: You choose. "Save to my history" is on by default and keeps the transcript and summary in your History. If you turn it off, the result is deleted as soon as it is shown to you, or automatically within 24 hours if you never collect it.
• Always saved to your History: YouTube links, meeting bot recordings, the API, and connected apps such as Claude (MCP). These are kept so that you or the connected app can retrieve the result later.
• Anonymous uploads: The transcript and summary are stored on our servers and are not linked to any account.

Stored transcripts are kept until you ask us to delete them at [privacy_@_quicktranscript.app].

User Account Information (If Applicable)

If you choose to create an account (e.g., by signing in with Google), we store the information needed to manage your account, such as your email address (provided by the authentication provider) and your credit balance. Transcripts you save are linked to your account so they can appear in your History.
