How the meeting bot works

  1. Paste the link A Microsoft Teams or Zoom join link.
  2. Let the bot in It joins muted as a visible guest under your bot name, showing the QuickTranscript logo.
  3. It records Meeting audio plus the attendee names from the People list.
  4. It leaves on its own When the meeting ends, everyone else leaves, or the time limit is reached.
  5. Read the transcript Under History → Meetings, with the attendee list.

Tips for Microsoft Teams
  • Paste the full join link from the invite, e.g. teams.microsoft.com/meet/… or teams.microsoft.com/l/meetup-join/….
  • Your organization must let anonymous guests join Teams meetings. If it doesn't, the bot stops with “This meeting requires participants to sign in”.
  • If the lobby is on, admit your bot (the name under Options → Bot name) within 5 minutes. Teams labels it “(Unverified)”, which is normal for guests.
  • The bot opens the People list to read names; keep display names meaningful so the attendee list is useful.
  • Everyone sees the bot's name. Tell participants you are recording before it joins.

Empty starts the bot now. With a time, it joins 5 seconds after the start and waits up to 15 minutes to be admitted.

    QuickTranscript runs a hosted MCP server and is an official connector in the Claude connector directory. Connect it to Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Cursor or any MCP client, paste a media link in the chat, and your assistant gets back the transcript and summary.
